Beyoncé veröffentlicht Album Cover

Nach rund sechs Jahren meldet sich Beyoncé endlich wieder mit einem neuen Album zurück: Die erste Single Break My Soul war schon mal ein erster Vorgeschmack, und auch das Design des Album Covers könnte wohl schon Hinweise über das kommende Werk geben...

Ein Dance Track mit 90s Einfluss und Vocal House war die Vorabsingle, und mit jeder Menge queeren Einflüssen. So ist Big Freedia zu hören, und auch eine Hommage an andere grosse House-Hymnen der queeren Clubkultur, so wie an Show Me Love von Robin S oder auch an Free von Ultra Naté.

Mit Renaissance wird am 29. Juli das erste neue Beyoncé Album seit Lemonade aus dem Jahr 2016 folgen. Viel ist noch nicht bekannt, doch es werden offenbar 16 neue Songs sein.

Auch das Cover hat Beyoncé mittlerweile veröffentlicht, und es wird von vielen als eine weitere Hommage ausgelegt, nämlich an Bianca Jaggers Auftritt auf einem weissen Pferd im Studio 54.

Zum Album selber schreibt Beyonce:

"Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are."
